Celebrating all that is positive about growing older, and the contribution of older people in society, we organised some fun activities for our residents to mark the 14th annual Positive Ageing Week, themed “Celebrating Ageing in Your Community”.
From Sept 27th to the 29th we invited volunteers from the community to visit our home and share some engaging activities with residents. Our thanks to the wonderfully talented Jackie Eastwood for coming to do some still life painting, and our thanks also to Mary Harney for hosting a truly enjoyable flower arranging workshop. Closing out our celebration the enthusiastic children from Creagh School danced for joy amongst us, such a fun morning.
Our sincerest thanks to Jackie, Mary, the principal, teachers and children of Creagh School and of course our incredibly dedicated care team at Millrace for making Positive Ageing Week so engaging and enjoyable for our residents, who are so proud of their community connections.
