Mowlam Healthcare has signed an Operating Agreement with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) to manage The Orchard Respite Centre in Blackrock, Dublin.
With Mowlam’s focus on Memory Care – our model of person-centred specialist care for people living with dementia – we are delighted to be associated with ASI, to operate the centre on a not-for-profit basis, and contribute to the enhancement of care for their respite centre residents living with dementia in south Dublin.
Pat Shanahan, CEO of Mowlam Healthcare:
“Our important alliance will lead to further advancement in care for people with dementia and contribute to the enhancement of their lives. With two like-minded person-centred organisations working in such close collaboration we are confident that our relationship will grow and strengthen over the coming years.”
“We would like to thank the ASI for showing confidence in Mowlam Healthcare’s proven clinical governance and leadership, and congratulate them on this initiative which ensures the provision of this much needed service will be restored early in the New Year for the community in south Dublin.”
Pat McLoughlin, CEO of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland:
“The Alzheimer Society of Ireland appreciates the financial support and assistance provided by the HSE which will ensure the reopening of The Orchard Respite Centre. This 11-bed unit has been temporarily closed since January 2017 and I am delighted that the respite operation will be open as soon as possible. I am certain that the new partnership with Mowlam Healthcare will provide high-quality continuity of care to people with dementia.”
