Mowlam Healthcare’s Kilrush Nursing Home held a day of celebrations to mark its 10th birthday.
Since opening its doors in December 2008 Kilrush Nursing Home’s philosophy of care has been to enhance the quality of life for older people. 10 years on the Kilrush care team remain ever committed to clinical excellence, compassion, and improving the health outcomes for the older people in their care.
Kilrush Nursing Home, centrally located in Kilrush town, Co Clare, is a 46-bed modern home, providing the highest standard of care 24 hours a day. The home provides residential care as well as specialist care for those with dementia, involving residents with memory loss in daily activities that help them feel valued and provide them with a sense of purpose.
Kilrush Nursing Home employs 56 people from the local community. Supporting Director of Nursing, Carmel Kelly, are a dedicated and highly trained team of staff nurses, senior healthcare assistants, healthcare assistants, activity coordinator, social care practitioner, allied healthcare professionals and ancillary staff, who go above and beyond each and every day, endeavouring to maintain the lifestyle of your loved one after moving to nursing home care.

“Residents and their families had a really enjoyable day and it was lovely to see members of the community here also to join with us in celebrating our special milestone. There are always lots of different things going on in the home and we are looking forward to continuing to serve the Kilrush community and surrounding area with kindness, compassion and care excellence. It’s been a lovely ten years since our home opened – it’s a lovely place to live and a lovely place to work.”
