Moycullen nursing home is where we reside, we being a colourful group of residents, all shapes, sizes and vintages, hailing from many parts of Galway and its wider environs. As a group of residents we enjoy Christmas time here, feeling safely cared for by our friends, the staff. Our Christmas’ spent here are ones of kindness, togetherness and are always Christmas’ of remembrances and sincerity.

At Adare and District Nursing Home Memory Care Centre one activity that is best loved by all residents is incubating eggs, and watching them hatch into baby chicks. One of our residents, Kathleen, loves the job of each day ticking another day off the incubator calendar, as we all wait patiently for 28 days for the first signs that the eggs are beginning to crack! The excitement and buzz in the home, between residents, staff and families, when hatching is underway, is fantastic - as we all take turns in holding and cuddling the precious fluffy chicks.
