Millrace Nursing Home – ‘New Chapter New Team’

Millrace Nursing Home's new Director of Nursing, Rory Douglas, and his new care team, celebrated the official launch of their 'New Chapter New Team' on Tuesday 8th November, with residents, family and friends. Councillor Donal Burke, Cathaoirleach Ballinasloe Municipal District, officiated at the 'New Chapter New Team' ceremony, together with Pat Shanahan, Executive Chairman of Mowlam Healthcare.

Residents at The Park Nursing Home Limerick, stayed up well past bedtime lastnight to enjoy wonderful music by Dr Ray O'Connor and his traditional Irish band.... some families and grandchildren of our residents stayed to enjoy the music too. Residents are still raving about it this morning. Wonderful Night!

Playing Cards – Lifelong Pursuits at Archersrath Nursing Home Kilkenny

Playing cards is a lifelong pursuit that is enjoyed at Mowlam Healthcare nursing homes, around the country. While being great for exercising the mind, our card playing residents love a healthy dose of competition and socialising together, as they did right from their youth. Devilishly good Halloween fun in our nursing homes this year

Nursing home staff and residents, together with family and friends, enjoyed a fun filled weekend of Halloween mischief and spookery. Homes were decorated, staff, volunteers, and residents dressed up, pumpkins were carved and ghoulish crafts were enjoyed. And of course devilishly delicious fresh Halloween treats were made, decorated and devoured!

Travel/excursions is something the majority of our residents enjoyed so we try and organise as many outings as possible.

Director of Nursing retires from Roseville House Nursing Home Limerick

Kathleen Wilkinson had been Director of Nursing at Roseville House, a 40-bed nursing home in Ballysimon, Limerick, for 12 years, having worked in the home as a nurse for 9 years previous. Kathleen's colleagues, past and present, marked her departure with a party when she was presented with flowers and gifts.
