The Orchard Respite Centre provides specialist respite care for people with dementia and cognitive impairment. The centre is run by Mowlam Healthcare in collaboration with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and the Health Services Executive (HSE).
The Orchard Respite Centre is open to people with dementia anywhere in Ireland. We offer specialist care for up to 11 clients at a time, on a seven-day basis and for a specified period of time, usually one to two weeks.
This specialist residential dementia respite centre offers weekly stays for persons with dementia in a safe, friendly environment with stimulating activities. This provides a short break from caring for the caregiver and also for the person with dementia. The centre has a team of registered nurses and dedicated care assistants and ancillary staff that provide help and support to a high standard.
Clients’ needs are central to everything we do. Our focus is firmly on the individual and on providing a place to live with dignity, comfort and grace.
We are very proud of our homely and welcoming atmosphere at The Orchard Respite Centre and would be delighted to show you around so that you can experience it for yourself.
