Compassion, Dignity and Respect
Mowlam Healthcare provides person-centred health care with compassion, dignity, and respect. Our clear focus is ‘To Enhance the Quality of Life for Older People’.
This is The Mowlam Way
Championing Quality of Life for Our Residents
We Listen. We Care.
People First
Residents are at the centre of everything we do in Mowlam Healthcare and residents and their families are at the centre of care planning. It is important to every member of our organisation that families are reassured and confident that their loved ones are receiving the very best of care. We want to help.
A Caring Culture
Led by our hearts – our team of skilled professionals, from Directors of Care, nurses and carers to catering and housekeeping are all characterised by the qualities of empathy, compassion, kindness, patience and understanding. We promote a culture of friendship and companionship in all our homes. We Listen. We Care.
Health & Wellbeing
Our care follows critical and clinical best practice, focussing on managing and improving long term medical condition, pain levels, mobility and maximising independence of our residents. We at all times respect the wishes of the person and very importantly, go at the pace our residents want to go at.
The Lived Experience
We are dedicated to involving residents in daily activities and therapies – cognitively stimulating, multi-sensory, physical therapy and social care – that help them feel valued, provide them with a sense of purpose and give them a sense of belonging. ‘Life Goes On’…with every comfort of home.

A Caring Culture
Quality of care is a strong complement to quality of life
Fostering a caring culture is the cornerstone of what our nursing homes are all about – a culture where our nursing homes stand out among others, are a pleasure to work in, and happy homes for our residents to live in.
Care teams and home staff are engaged in meeting individual resident needs and prioritising resident dignity. We instill passion for quality care and compassion among our team at every level of our organisation.

Our Directors of Nursing and home administrators are strong and consistent advocates of our caring culture. They are role models that exemplify caring at all times and are pivotal in ensuring that ‘our residents are at the centre of our universe’.
Role models are found at all levels of our dynamic facilities, from nurses and healthcare assistants to housekeeping and catering.
Our support office team ensure that the resources, standards, regulations and best practice are developed to support the Director of Nursing in each home.
Our priority is to ensure continuous improvement in quality of nursing home care as we continue to build a successful and sustainable care community.
