Care Skills & Care of The Older Person Training
for experienced carers and those looking to begin a career in caring
“I understand it can be very daunting to begin a new career or to continue progressing in healthcare. Assignments, computer skills and researching can be difficult for some – however, key to my role is supporting and guiding learners through this process.
The sense of achievement and renewed confidence I see in learners who have completed the modules is a pleasure to be a part of. It is always my goal to put learners at ease, gain the necessary skills and view themselves as a competent and effective carer.

Elder abuse will be covered and the student will learn how to spot signs, assist the victim/family and prevent this from occurring again in the future.
Furthermore, the theory on Memory Care and Palliative Care will be delivered and students will learn how to care for patients and their families during these delicate and sensitive times.
